抄録

We reported three cases of hemorrage from the duodenal diverticulum. We should suspect hemorrhage from the duodenal diverticulum, if we couldn't find a definite bleeding source in esophagus, stomach or duodenum though there were fresh blood only in a duodenum. When we tried endoscopic examination with a transparent hood, even if inserted a scope into it, we could observe inside of it under a good vision view, and perform hemostasis easily including clipping against the bleeding point because of the use of a foward-viewing scope. Therefore, it was considered that a transparent hood attached endoscope was very useful for the endoscopic diagnosis and hemostasis of hemorrage from the duodenal diverticulum.
