Abstract
This paper is a review on the properties of atmospheric gravity waves that are responsible for the transfer of tropospheric perturbation to the ionospheric altitudes. The generation mechanism of these waves by means of meteorological sources, earthquakes and by the processes of earthquake preparation (by precursors) is examined. We suggest an experimental program for the investigation of acoustic-gravity channel of a seismic effect upon the ionosphere.
