Abstract

The anther has been conducted, for the last eight years, a course and International Design Contest (IDC) which are designed to improve students' creativity and to internationalize them, with cooperation of six universities all over the world. For the engineers to be creative, they have to be independent type that means collecting informations by themselves, then thinking and deciding by themselves. Present students are dependent type. To chnage dependent type students into independent type, it is useful to introduce machine making into the course and make them to challenge to the problem of which answer is known by nobody. Each of the six universities now has a very similar course of this type. The six universities also conduct effectively IDC to internationalize students through making machines together as international teams for ten days.
