Abstract
Compared to adults, young children respond to mandibular fractures in a more complicated manner, presenting various formidable problems, such as deviated mandibular growth, facial deformity, and disturbed tooth eruption. We recently experienced a case of mandibular fracture in a pediatric patient with a sports injury. Circumferential wiring after reduction of fracture was performed against median mandibular fracture under general anesthesia. The prognosis was good after the surgical treatment. Careful observation should be continued for long duration in our department.
