Abstract
The composition dependence of the lattice deformation strain of β-α" martensitic transformation in TiNbAl biomedical shape memory alloy was systematically investigated. The lattice parameter of parent β-phase was insensitive to the alloy composition while the lattice parameters of martensite α"-phase were sensitive to the alloy composition, especially to the Nb concentration. The criteria for the design of the Ti-Nb based biomedical shape memory alloy was discussed
