Abstract

Bovine serum IgG1 and IgG2 were characterized by cellulose acetate electrophoresis (CAE), SDS polyacrylamide get electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE), thingel isoelectric focusing (T-IEF) and immuno electrophoresis. Both IgG1 and IgG2 showed a molecular weight of 150kd. By CAE and T-IEF, IgG1 and IgG2 were detected on β-globulin and r-globuline areas respectively, showing isoelectricpoints 5.2 to 5.7, and 6.6 to 8.2. While microkierdal, single radial immunodiffusion and turbidimetric immunoassay (TIA) for protein measurement gave almost the same values, TIA seemed to be recommendable for clinical application, because of simplicity, rapidity and reproducibility.
