Abstract

A 76-year-old man had noted dark red nodules on both sides of the scrotum for six months. The lesions were 15 and 12 mm in diameter, respectively, and were pedunculated with a granular surface.<br>The histologic features of these tumors were papillomatous elongation of the rete ridges and infiltration of foam cells in the upper dermis. Vessels in the papillae were prominent. Numerous neutrophilic infiltrations in the epidermis were found. There was no difference in pathology between these two tumors. Immunohistologically, foam cells were positive for CD68 and lysozyme. Fourteen cases of verruciform xanthoma multiplex have been reported in Japan.
