Abstract

電子伝達タンパク質間の酸化還元状態依存的な親和性調節機構は,長年にわたり多くの研究者の興味の的であった.著者らは,芳香環水酸化ジオキシゲナーゼの電子伝達系を構成する2つのタンパク質の計6種類の反応中間体と,電子伝達の際に形成される複合体の結晶構造を決定した.これらの構造から,電子伝達の反応サイクル中に生じる一連の構造変化を明らかにし,これらの構造変化と電子伝達タンパク質間の親和性調節との関連を示した.
