Abstract
This paper addresses a model-matching problem between a given SISO nonlinear plant and the cascade connection of the plant and a quantizer to be designed. First, a closed-form solution to the problem is derived. From this, we next show several fundamental properties of the optimal quantization for control. Finally, the performance of the proposed quantizer is demonstrated by numerical simulations.
