Abstract

Amounts of fungal and bacterial biomass at different slope position in forest soil were determined by Fluorescence image analysis method. Fungal biomasses (Fm), bacterial biomasses (Bm) and Fm/Bm ratios were 2.0-3.6 mg/g dried soil, 0.4-1.1 mg/g dried soil and 2.8-8.2, respectively. The amounts of Bm were smaller and the values of Fm/Bm ratio were greater in the upper slope position than in the lower slope position. There were positive correlations between Bm and soil water contents, soil pH(H2O) and NO3-N / inorganic-N. Fm/Bm ratio has a positive correlation with soil C/N ratio and a negative correlation with NO3-N / inorganic-N.
