Abstract
An asymptomatic 17-year-old man was diagnosed with pulmonary sequestration and was admitted to our hospital. Radiograph and CT analyses revealed pulmonary sequestration in the left lower lung field with two aberrant arteries and an anomalous vein draining into the azygos. Thoracoscopic resection for pulmonary sequestration was performed, employing one mini-thoracotomy and two ports. Regarding the operative findings, the aberrant arteries comprised not two but four arteries. Although preoperative MDCT is useful in the treatment of pulmonary sequestration, it is necessary to pay attention to the possibility that there are aberrant arteries not identified before the operation.
