Abstract

近年, レーザーの歯周治療への応用が増加し, 様々な臨床応用が進んでいる。とくに, 水への高い吸収性を示すエルビウム・ヤグ(Er:YAG)レーザーの開発により, 歯周治療において歯周軟組織のみならず硬組織への応用が可能となり, 非外科的および外科的歯周ポケット治療においては, 歯石除去(スケーリング)を含む病的根面の廓清(デブライドメント)などに用いられつつある。本論文は, レーザーによる歯石除去について, その背景, 原理, 適応, 基礎的および臨床的エビデンス, 今後の課題と展望, 臨床応用上の注意および安全対策について概説する。<BR>日本歯周病学会会誌(日歯周誌)52(2) : 180-190, 2010
