車両用過給機タービンハウジングの熱応力予測技術の開発 Development of Thermal Stress Analysis Technique for Turbine Housing of Turbocharger for Automobile
Turbine housing of turbocharger for gasoline engine is required to reduce thermal stress to avoid low-cycle fatigue. On the other hand, it is also required to cut down its heat capacity to accelerate temperature rising of three-way catalyst. Thermal stress analysis technique by combining elastic-plastic analysis with conjugate heat transfer（CHT）analysis was developed to predict transient change of thermal stress by driving load and to design reliable light turbine housing. It is showed that this technique had sufficient accuracy compared to temperature measurement results. By using this technique, existence of excessive strain areas around waste gate port was predicted.
