Abstract

The architecture and operating principles of high speed vision based on a recent imaging technology, an active vision system, and a high speed variable focus lens are described. In addition, by using high speed image processing capabilities, various types of application system including a human interface based on gesture recognition, high speed inspection based on multitarget tracking, microvisual feedback for microscopy images, and high speed intelligent robots with visual feedback control are explained with their design concept and processing architecture.
