Abstract

This is an introduction to “spintronics”. The spintronics tries to provide new functions and better performance in electronic devices using both charge and spin degrees of freedom. For this month (2nd), I introduce the topic on how to use spins. To use spins we need to detect, generate, and control them. Most of such physical phenomena that provide detection, generation and control mechanism in spintronics are exhaustively explained.
