Rhizoctonia solani AG-1 IBによるインパチエンス葉腐病(新称)の発生 First Report of Leaf Blight of Sultan Snapweed Caused by Rhizoctonia solani AG-1 IB
Leaf blight of sultan snapweed (<i>Impatiens walleriana</i> Hook. f.) occurred in Tokyo in 2009. A pathogen isolated from the diseased plants was identified as <i>Rhizoctonia solani</i> AG-1 IB based on morphological characteristics and anastomosis group. An inoculation test confirmed that the fungus was the causal agent of the disease. This is the first report of the disease in Japan.
