We report two cases of port site recurrence after laparoscopic colectomy for colorectal cancer.<BR>Case 1: A 61-year old woman was diagnosed with port site recurrence by CT and PET-CT, thirty-one months after a laparoscopic assisted low anterior resection for rectal cancer. The patient had a wide en bloc excision of abdominal wall tumor and resection of peritoneal dissemination. The patient was subsequently diagnosed with Virchow lymph node metastasis and received chemotherapy. Forty-eight months after the first operation, the patient passed away.<BR>Case 2: A 60-year old man was diagnosed with port site recurrence and liver metastasis by CT and PET-CT, twelve months after laparoscopic assisted colectomy for transverse colon cancer. The patient had a wide en bloc excision of abdominal wall tumor and extended posterior sectionectomy of the liver. The patient was subsequently diagnosed with lymph node metastasis, liver metastasis and lung metastasis and has been undergoing chemotherapy.<BR>Port site recurrence is frequently associated with systematic metastasis and poor outcomes.
