抄録

Lithium-ion batteries are used as the power supply of cellular phones and several other portable electrical devices at present. The concern about energy sources in the near future, either for electric vehicles (EV) or large-scale batteries for electricity power storage, has made lithium-ion battery development into a growth area which has gained high momentum for its research activities. In this paper, recent developments in cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries are briefly reviewed. Furthermore, it is highlighted that the powder technologies, such as spray pyrolysis, spray drying and ball-milling, may become some key ones to develop the cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries.
