Abstract
In recent years, various urban problems have appeared due to the development of motorization, and as a result the idea of compact city is receiving greater exposure. In discussing compact cities, it is necessary to consider the convenience of public transport and space allocation for stores and parking lots in the central district. In this study, we construct an urban model about transportation and location of housing and commerce considering the space allocation for stores and parking lots in the central district. Additionally we aim to clarify quantitatively the effect of the convenience of public transport, the construction of parking lots and the scale of suburban store on the urban structure and the commercial activity by numeral simulation.
