Abstract
Vertical profiles of temperature, turbidity and concentration of chlorophyll-a, b were measured every month from 1996-2011 at a fixed point in Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, using a multi-parameter aqua-quality profiler. During this time, turbidity and concentration of chlorophyll-a, b decreased and the transparency increased. Therefore, these results indicate an improvement in the quality of water from Lake Biwa.
