Abstract
Infiltration parameter estimation (IPE) model is a simulation model of furrow irrigtation that allows us to estimate infilitration parameters in real time. This model has improved the irrigation control. As for water advancement and recession curves, the IPE model is fitted better to the measured curves than a method that does not take into account the distribution of infiltration rates over furrow. In addititon, the application efficiencies obtained by IPE model is higher than that by the usual model.
