Abstract
The ionospheric current over Kagoshima at 11:00 LT was observed by means of an optically pumped Cs magnetometer. We find a horizontally diversing current whose origin is presumed to be the filed aligned current from the antihemisphere. The diversing current is distributed from 110 Km to 120 Km and total field aligned current is estimated to be 1.7 × 10^5 A which is nearly coincident with the theoretical value. Direction of the field aligned current is downward in the north hemisphere and observed point is estimated to be about 800 km almost eastward from Sq current vortex.
