Abstract

The sound effect is very important in a remote education using a teleconference system. Especially, it is indispensable that the acoustic echo path is estimated fast so as not to influence the conversation. A problem is to improve the speech quality of the echo canceller of the two-channel at the same time, the estimation of the acoustic echo path becomes difficult. In this paper, we describe two-channel echo canceller constructed using the projection algorithm and the FIR filter. We have proposed the LMS algorithm in which the step gain (the filter coefficients are corrected using this gain) was sequentially corrected for the fast estimation of the FIR filter coefficients. Then, we proposed the calculation method of the variable step gain of the projection algorithm by using the proposed technique. We simulated this problem of two-channel echo canceller by the projection algorithm with the step gain.
