抄録

In recent years, it is becoming a serious problem that the groundwater is polluted by nitrate nitrogen in the agriculture and the stockbreeding area. It is considered to be caused by large amounts of fertilization on farmland and manure heap on the bare ground. This paper reports the water quality examined for the deep wells of water supply and the shallow wells of domestic use in A-town for a year. And it denotes the relations between the amount of rainfall and the groundwater level, between the occupation area of the farmland and the concentration of nitrate nitrogen.
