キリスト教は出発点に錯誤はなかったか Weren't There Errors on the Starting Point of Christianity?
The aim of this essay is to ask if the title 'THE NEW TESTAMENT" is right. Hitherto it has been believed by most people that the covenants which God made with all Israel were old ones and the covenant which God made with Jesus is the new one. But I do not think so. Even among the several covenants which God made with all Israel, there were old covenants and new ones. For example, Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, "Listen, O Israel, to the statutes and the laws which I proclaim in your hearing today. Learn them and be careful to observe them. The Lord our God made a covenant with us at Hereb. It was not with our forefathers that the Lord made this covenant, but with us, all of us who are alive and are here this day." According to Moses, the covenants which God made with their forefathers were old and the one which God made with the people who were alive and were there that day with Moses was new. By the way, Jesus never spoke about the old and the new of God's covenants and broke several commandments God ordered to all Israel. So, we should not consider the book which is written about the words and deeds of Jesus to be the new Bible, I think.
