The modified Thelliers' and Shaw's methods are applied to granulite and igneous rocks from Mt. Riiser-Larsen in Enderby Land, some of which were dated by the K-Ar method to be of 1.2-1.4Ga. Very low paleointensities are suggested from high temperature components of the Thelliers-type results and from the Shaw-type experiment.
