Abstract

NFT毛管水耕システムを用いたホウレンソウ(Spinacia oleracea L.品種'ジョーカー'および'オリオン')栽培において, 収穫前にNO<SUB>3</SUB>-Nのみの補給停止(実験1 : 夏作), または全肥料成分の補給停止(実験2 : 秋作)が, 生育, 可食部の硝酸含量, 廃液の無機成分濃度に及ぼす影響を検討した.実験1 : 収穫6日前からのNO<SUB>3</SUB>-Nの補給停止で, 可食部の硝酸含量は2, 199 ppm, 廃液のNO<SUB>3</SUB>-N濃度は1.0 me・liter<SUP>-1</SUP>と, 食品・廃液の許容基準を満たすことができた.NO<SUB>3</SUB>-N以外の成分は初期濃度と同じか, それ以上に廃液中に残存した.実験2 : 2&acd;6日前からの追肥停止で, 廃液のNO<SUB>3</SUB>-N濃度は0.7 me・liter<SUP>-1</SUP>以下, 可食部の硝酸含量は2, 870 ppm以下となり, 食品・廃液の許容基準を満たすことができた.さらに, 他の主要無機成分についても, 残存濃度を低減できた.しかし, 6日前からの追肥停止では, 地上部生体重が低下した.以上より, 夏作で収穫予定日の6日前, 秋作では2&acd;4日前から, 肥料成分を含まない水を補給する方法が, 可食部の硝酸濃度の低いホウレンソウの生産と, 廃液中の主要無機成分含量の低減に有効と考えられた.

The spinach plant (Spinacia oleracea L. cv. Joker and cv. Orion) was grown in the capillary NFT system in which NO<SUB>3</SUB>-N (Experiment 1 ; summer crop) or all nutrients (Experiment 2 ; autumn crop) was withdrawn for 2 to 6 days prior to harvest. In Exp. 1, the top fresh weight slightly decreased by the withdrawal of NO<SUB>3</SUB>-N supply for 6 days prior to harvest, while, the leaf nitrate content decreased from 3, 395 ppm to 2, 199 ppm and residual NO<SUB>3</SUB>-N in the solution decreased from 7.8 me·liter<SUP>-1</SUP> to 1.0 me·liter<SUP>-1</SUP>. These values are below the critical level of leaf nitrate content by European standard and of residual nitrate level in the nutrient solution by Japanese standard. In Exp. 2, the withdrawal of all nutrients for 2 to 4 days prior to harvest had no effect on top fresh weight. But the leaf nitrate content decreased from 3, 232 ppm to 2, 870 ppm or 2, 342 ppm ; the residual NO<SUB>3</SUB>-N in the solution decreased from 1.4 me·liter<SUP>-1</SUP> to 0.7 me·liter<SUP>-1</SUP> or 0.2 me·liter<SUP>-1</SUP> in the 2- or 4-day treatment, respectively. These values are below the critical concentration of European and Japanese standards. In addition, all the major elemental concentration in the waste water was decreased by the withdrawal of all nutrients.
