抄録

A 52-year-old female who had had total hysterectomy for myoma at the age of 38 years visited our clinic. The resuls of a vaginal smear test was suspicious and mild dysplasia was suspected. Colposcopic findings revealed the presence of acetowhite epithelium and punctation on the vaginal wall. Histology of these areas showed the presence of fibric mucosa by acanthotic squamous epithelium with koilocytosis and minimal atypia. The findings suggested that she might be infected with human papilloma virus. Periodic examination is undoubtedly important in order to detect VaIN at an early stage in a patient infected with HPV.
