Abstract

Little known tettigoniid Eobiana is raised from subgeneric to generic status. Two species of this genus are known : E. japonica and E. engelhardti, the last named is divided into two subspecies : E. engelhardti engelhardti stat. n. and E. engelhardti subtropica stat. n. Key to species and subspecies and redescription of genus and species are given. The following new synonymy is established : Eobiana engelhardti subtropica BEY-BIENKO, 1949=Metrioptera hime FURUKAWA, 1950, syn. n.
