抄録

Barkhausen noise from thin plates of pure nickel has been analyzed by wavelet transformation for the first time. The wave forms were sampled by a sampling frequency of 40 kHz and 8192 data were obtained by a 16-bit A/D-converter. Wavelet coefficients were calculated by the fast wavelet transform method using Daubechies scaling functions and wavelets. We observed high energy part in lower frequency range in early times for rolled plates, and different behaviors for heat-treated samples. The wavelet analysis of Barkhausen noise is suggested to be hopeful for a new non-destructive evaluation of ferromagnetic materials.
