944 クロスプライ・グリーンコンポジットの試作とその強度特性 Trial Fabrication of Cross-Ply "Green" Composites and Their Mechanical Properties
This paper deals with the mechanical properties of cross-ply biodegradable composite materials, that is "green" composites, made from Manila hemp fabrics and starch-based emulsion-type biodegradable resin. The fabrics were fabricated by using Manila hemp fibers for warp and threads of biodegradable resin for weft. The mechanical properties of the "green" composites have been evaluated as a function of fiber content. The experimental results indicate that both of tensile and flexural strength increased with increasing fiber content (30 to 70mass%). The cross-ply "green" composites have the flexural and tensile strength of 128MPa and 202MPa at 70mass% of fibers, respectively.
