抄録

[Synopsis] In the previous paper, we described the simple handling methods of Escherichia coli (E.coli) and observation of their chemotaxis. We now describe quantitative assays of the chemotaxis in E.coli.. For the quantitative assay of bacterial chemotaxis, our improved method using hole-slide glass and a capillary tube was much more easy than Adler's method. Some reasons for the introduction of bacterial chemotaxis into biological education in high schools were also discussed.
