Abstract

Ja-Jakartaプロジェクトはオープンソースプロダクトの日本語化やドキュメントの翻訳をする活動をしており,オープンソースモデルに基づいた翻訳体制で分散協調翻訳をしている.ただし,分散協調翻訳は必ずしも効率的ではなく,高い品質を確保できるとは限らない.本論文では,創発的な効果をできるだけ得られるような分散協調翻訳体制を示す.次に,その下で構築・運用した分散協調翻訳支援システムと,翻訳作業におけるメタデータの利用について述べる.さらに,運用したシステムのログや翻訳者へのアンケートなどを分析し,実際に効果があることを示す.The objectives of the Ja-Jakarta project are to localize open source products and to translate their documentations into Japanese. The organization based on the open source model is aimed to establish a framework of distributed cooperative translation. However distributed cooperative translation is not always effective and it is difficult to keep the quality of translation. In this paper, we explain the organization which produces effective cooperation, the construction and operation of our translation support system, and the usage of metadata for translation. And we show the effectiveness in improving the productivity of our organization by analyzing the system logs and the questionnaires to translators.
