Abstract

Utilizing Fe^<2+>→Fe^<3+> oxidation, spinel ferrite ((M, Fe)_3O_4, M=Ni, Zn, Co, and their mixture) thin films and fine particles were synthesized from an aqueous solution at temperatures below 100℃. NiZn ferrite films deposited onto printed circuit boards and polyimide sheets are to be used in quasi-microwave (0.3-10 GHz) conducted noise suppressors of "direct deposition" and "sheet" types, respectively. Permalloy fine particles (8μm in diameter) coated with NiZn ferrite films by ultrasound enhanced ferrite plating were compacted to toroidal cores, which are to be used in EMC beads to suppress GHz conducted noises. Physiologically active molecules such as antibodies, proteins, etc. were directly fixed onto the surfaces of magnetic (Fe_3O_4) fine particles (10-15 nm in diameter) during the synthesis of the latter, which are to be applied to medical magnetic nano-beads.
