Abstract

陶材焼付用金合金ならびに金銀パラジウム合金における粒界析出反応の定量化への試みとして,その微細組織の形態的特徴をボックスカウンティング法によりフラクタル解析した.時効処理に伴う歯科用合金の結晶粒界析出反応は1から2までの範囲のフラクタル次元でその形態の定量化が可能であった.その成長過程はフラククル次元の増加,すなわちノジュール形態の複雑化を伴うものであった.また,等温ならびに昇温焼鈍によるノジュールの成長過程においては,形態の複雑さの増加がノジュールの体積分率の増加に先行して起こることが明らかになった.

Fractal analysis by the box-counting method was applied for quantitative understanding of the mechanisms of grain boundary reactions in a dental high-karat gold alloy for porcelain bonding and in a dental silver-palladium-gold-copper alloy for cast crowns. The morphology of grain boundary precipitates, namely nodules, could be described by fractal dimensions of 1 to 2. The grain boundary reaction progressed in relation to increasing nodule and fractal dimension, which corresponded to increase of the morphological complexity. The increase in fractal dimension preceded the increase in volume fraction of the grain boundary precipitates in both isothermal and the anisothernal annealing.
