We present three cases of epidermoid cyst which occurred in relatively rare places : parotid region, tongue and neck. The neck case especially occurred 4 years after a bilateral neck dissection in a patient with lingual carcinoma. We assumed this cyst was formed by trapped epithelium which implanted itself during the operation. In the other two cases, there was no chance for epithelium to be trapped in trauma, inflammation or operation after birth. So etiology of the two cases was thought to be congenital epithelial rests in subcutaneous tissue. We also reviewed literature on dermoid cyst and epidermoid cyst in unusual regions.
