Abstract

北海道南茅部郡見日で採集したフイリタサ(紅藻アマノリ属)の生活史と, 生長や成熟におよぼす温度(5-25℃)や光周期(10L : 14D, 14L : 10D)の影響を室内培養下で観察した。糸状体は10℃下で最も速く生長し, 殻胞子嚢は5℃と10℃の短日(10L : 14D)下で形成された。殻胞子は5℃と10℃でのみ葉状体になり, 成熟して精子および造果器を形成し, その後に接合胞子の形成, 放出が見られた。15℃下では発芽して小さな塊状体となったが, 生殖器官は形成されなかった。葉状体は20℃以上の高温下では生育できなかった。葉状体はいずれの条件下でも無性胞子の放出は見られなかった。

Life history of Porphyra variegata (Kjellman) Kjellman was completed in culture from Ken-nich, Hokkaido, Japan. Growth and reproduction of both foliose phase and conchocelis phase were observed at various temperatures (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25°C) with a photon flux density of 40μmol·m<SUP>-2</SUP> s<SUP>-1</SUP> under photoperiods (14L : 10D and 10L : 14D). The optimum growth of the conchocelis filaments occurred at 10°C. Conchocelis filaments produced conchosporangial branches after 6-9 weeks at 5°C and 10°C under a short photoperiod of 10L : 14D. Conchospores were released in great nombers from the conchosporangia at 10°C under short photoperiods of 10L : 14D and 8L : 16D. Conchospore germlings developed into the foliose thallus and reached to 1-5 cm in length after 3-5 months at 5°C and 10°C under long and short photoperiods. The foliose thallus produced only sexual spores as zygoto-spores. Reproductive organs were not produced from small globular thalli at 15°C. Asexual spores were not produced from the foliose thallus.
