Abstract
ラットの海馬には,空間内の位置に特異的に反応する細胞が存在する.場所細胞と呼ばれるこの細胞の活動は,主として視覚情報と身体情報(運動情報など)の影響を受けることが知られている.本研究では,従来まではあまり考慮されなかった「ラット自身の行動」に着目し,それと海馬体サーキットを模した時系列学習を組み合わせて,見えの情報のみを入力として場所細胞を生成するニューラルネットワークモデルを構築した.その結果本モデルでは,モデルラットの行動の違いにより,場所細胞の生成の有無,更にはその安定性までもが左右されることがわかった.安定な場所細胞の生成には,モデルラットは適度な間隔で周りを見つつ行動することが必要であった.
