Abstract

近年, 高密度記録達成のために, 波形干渉が最も発生し易い3つならびにそれ以上のレベル連続推移を全て除去する非線形符号化特性を持つMTR符号が盛んに検討されている.一方, トラック密度の向上を主目的とし, 最終的に面密度向上を図る目的で各種の二次元符号が報告されている.本稿では, これら2つの方式を結合させ, さらにトレリス機能を付加した二次元MTRトレリス符号を提案し, その具体例として符号化率2/3を持つ2トラックの二次元MTRトレリス符号を構成する.そして, 同じ符号化率をもつ一次元MTR符号と比べ, 規格化線密度K=3.0においてビット誤り率を10^<-5>とした場合, 約7.2dBのS/N改善が得られることを示す.

Recently in order to attain higher recording density, MTR codes have actively studied in which three or more consecutive transition patterns of polarity level are forced to eliminate from code sequence. Additionally, two-dimensional codes have a growing interest in the improvement of areal density with the betterment of track density. In this paper we propose an algorithm for designing two-dimensional MTR trellis code which has both merits of MTR and two-dimension, and also a good property of trellis function. A new two-dimensional MTR trellis code having coding rate η=2/3 is developed by using this algorithm and is compared the bit error rate(BER)with an one-dimensional MTR code which has the same coding rate. The result shows that the former code gains about an 7.2dB required S/N advantage over the latter code at the normalized density K=3.0 and BER=10^<-5>.
