Abstract

記録符号に対する絶えざる要求の一つが符号化率η=m/nの向上である.実用化された符号のη(d, k)が1/2(2, 7)→2/3(1, 7)→8/9(0, 4)→16/17(0, 6)と進展してきている事がこの事実を物語っている.ただデータ語長mならびに符号語長nを大きくすればする程, 符号化則並びに符号化回路構成が指数関数的に複雑になることが問題点として存在する.本稿では, データ語を少なくとも3以上のサブデータ語に分割し, これらを組合せる符号化則を用いて, この課題を克服している.また, 具体例として, インタリーブ機能を有する8/9, 16/17, 及び24/25それぞれの符号をこの手法を用いて構成している.

One of ceaseless requirements toward recording code is the improvement on the coding rete, η=m/n, where m and n are dataword and codewored lengths, respectively. In fact, η(d, k) constraints of practical codes have been shifted with the manner as 1/2(2, 7)→2/3(1, 7)→8/9(0, 4)→16/17(0, 6), where d and k are the minimum and maximum run lenghts, respectively. However, problems accompany with these shifts such that the longer m and n, the more complicate coding rules and coding/decoding circuit structures. In this paper, we solve these problems by developing a new design technique in which every datawords are firstly divided more than three subdatawords and the coding rule is constructed with suitably combining these subdatawords. As the examples of this method, we design 8/9, 16/17 and 24/25 codes, respectively.
