Abstract

近年, 家庭内で扱われる情報のディジタル化が急速に進展しており, これに伴い家電機器制御を含めて家庭内のネットワーク化が進んでいくものと考えられる. 本稿では, ホームネットワークを, 高速バックボーンネットワークと制御ネットワークの2つのカテゴリに分け, それらの動向を述べている. そのなかでも特に電力線搬送による制御ネットワーク用の通信に注目し, まず屋内電力線の線路特性の特徴について述べている. 次に伝送信号の変調方式として, スペクトル拡散を取り上げ, 電力線搬送通信に適した拡散系列を紹介している. 同系列を用いれば, 搬送波を用いないためハードウェアの簡略化が計れ, また信号スペクトルの形状を制御できるため効率のよい伝送が期待できる.

Owing to the progress of digitization of multimedia information handled in home, networking in home (referred to as home networks), which includes networks to control household appliances, will also progress. In this paper, home networks are divided into two categories of the high-speed backbone network and control network, and the trends of the respective networks are described. As the control network, power line communications (PLCs)are promising. First, the characteristics of residential power lines are explained. Second, spread spectrum modulation is picked out as a suitable technique for the PLCs, and a newly developed spreading sequence is introduced for the modulation. By using the sequence, simple hardware, i. e. , baseband transmission, without complicated carrier modulation will be possible. Moreover, an efficient transmission can be expected since the shape of sequence's signal spectrum can be controlled easily.
