The RLS (Recursive Least Squares) algorithm for adaptive noise canceller in the presence of crosstalk have been proposed. The proposed algorithm has better convergence performance than the conventional one based upon the steepest descent technique. When simultaneously updating the crosstalk and noise cancelling filters, the error signal to be minimized becomes nonlinear with respect to the filter parameter. Therefore, the nonlinear RLS algorithm is derived for further improving the convergence performance. The application to a telecommunication system is also presented to show the effectiveness.
