Abstract

Live streaming has limited allowable delay and allowable loss rate. QoS Multicast for Live Streaming or QMLS protocol has been proposed. However, where to activate routers in the multicast tree to perform as QMLS routers must be addressed. This paper proposes the method to activate and deactivate the routers in the multicast tree to perform or stop performing as QMLS routers according the losses.
