Abstract
In order to explain the microwave characteristics of high-T_c superconductors in room to cryogenic temperature,an improved three- fluid model is proposed in which the temperature dependence of the momentum relaxation time τ is introduced.The temperature dependenc e of the surface impedance Z_s=R_s+jX_s,where R_s is the surface resistance and X_s is the surface reactance,and the complex conductivity σ=σ_1-j σ_2 of a YBCO bulk calculated from this mod el,agrees very well with measured ones.Also,this model enables us to explain a peak of σ_1 observed just below the critical temperat ure T_c which has a similar behavior one derived from the BCS theory.Finally,it is verified that the availability of ratio n_ res>, n_t to evaluate material quality of high-T_c superconductors,where n_res> is the residual normal electron density and n_t is the total electron density.
