Abstract

In this report we describe the dialogue corpora we have been developing at NTT Basic Research Labs. Dialogues in the corpora are collected so that they represent goal-directed dialogues that are truly natural and spontaneous. Our corpora include dialogues carried out not only in standard Japanese but also in Japanese dialects that have rarely been recorded in such corpora. We have also included English conversations by speakers of the North American variety of English.
