抄録

The staphylinid genus Phytolinus SHARP of Japan and Taiwan is revised. Two new species, Phytolinus monticola from Japan and P. formosanus from Taiwan are described. A key to the species and descriptions of the male genitalia of P. lewisii SHARP and P. variegatus SAWADA et NAKANE are given. The predatory behavior of the adults is also noted.
