A new mirine genus, Orientomiris, is proposed to accommodate Calocoris tricolor SCOTT, 1880, and other mirines. Four new species of the genus found in the Ryukyus, O. nigripennis, O. erythromelas, O. flavicollaris and O. yaeyamanus, are diagnosed and described. A new subspecies of yaeyamanus is also described. Creontiades eurytus is transferred to Orientomiris, diagnosed and figured. The zoogeography and phylogeny of the Japanese species of Orientomiris are discussed.
