抄録

Investigations were made on allometric growth of the nymphs of a cricket, Diestrammena japonica (Orthoptera). The length of the various dimensions relative to the head-width conforms to allometric growth function y=bx^α (Fig. 1). The equilibrium constant and initial growth index are shown in the Table 1. A parasitic nematode, Gordius aquaticus, was found in the cricket, but body-proportions of the host seem not to be influenced by the parasitism (Table 2).
