We established a new method to quantitatively evaluate two types of consumed energies resulting from plastic deformation (E_p) and viscosity (E_v) of sample. To evaluate a new parameter (ΔE/ΔV), the tabletting velocity (V) dependence of E_v, was determined. We found that the total consumed energy (E_t) consists of E_p and E_v, and the tabletting velocity dependence of E_t is expressed as a simple first order equation, E_t=a·V+b, where a and b mean ΔE/ΔV and E_t, respectively. The parameter ΔE/ΔV is considered to express the grade of negative contribution of sample viscosity to the tabletting process.
