Abstract

我々は, 光無線に特化したビジョンチップ(処理機能をもつCMOSイメージセンサ)を用いた新しい光無線システムを提案する.本システムは, 1)バルクの可動部がない, 2)光学系に安価なプラスチックレンズを利用できる.3)ノードの検出・追尾等をソフトウェア画像処理で実現するためプログラマビリティが高い, などの特長がある.光無線用ビジョンチップは, 高速光通信のためのフォーカス読み出しモードとイメージセンサモードをもつ.0.8μm BiCMOSプロセスを用いて実現できるフォトダイオード構造と, その応答速度をデバイスシミュレータにより検討し, 高速フォトダイオードを用いた光無線用ビジョンチップの設計した.

We propose a new optical wireless LAN (local area network) system based on a vision chip. The features of the proposed system are 1) free from bulky mechanical parts, 2) cheap plastic lenses can be used for the optical system, and 3) good programmability based on software image processing such as node detection and tracing. The vision chip designed for optical wireless LAN has two modes:high-speed focused readout for communication and normal image readout. With a device simulator, we estimated photo-responsibilities for several photodiodes with different structures using a 0.8μm BiCMOS process. Based on the simulation results, the vision chip with 8x8 pixels using a high-speed photodiode was designed.
